Attached are two scenarios that play on the theme of the Pakistan-India
conflict currently going on. The scenarios are titled India1 and India2. The
only difference is that the center of the US battle group in India2 is the
Belleau Wood, while in India1 the center is the USS Nimitz.
The scenario takes some liberties. Give it a try and tell me what you think.

Fire in the Hole
It's finally happened. Just a few short months after India and
Pakistan first started their nuclear testing, the testing has turned to
warfare.
Karachi and Islamabad are in ruins in Pakistan. Delhi and
its 12 million residents are no more. The Indian missiles were much
more accurate than initial intelligence reports led us to believe and
the Pakistani air defenses were far inferior.
The Pakistani's did their damage, though. While Indian missiles and planes
did most of the job, taking out a number of the "India Killers" as they
screamed through the night sky, a few made it through. North of the
Bombay to Calcutta line is now a huge radioactive wasteland.
Most of the Pakistani air and naval forces have been destroyed and a
major land war is all that remains of the conflict. The Chinese have
backed India with promises of new planes as well as food and other resources.
Pakistan has the backing of Iran and Afghanistan with regard to weaponry,
but the United States has offered only resource support, such as food,
medicine, clothing, etc.
In their push to become a superpower, the Indians have laid down the law
to the United States.
The word: Help Pakistan and your forces will be destroyed.
India has air superiority over the battlefield and has turned the attention
of their remaining planes and ships on your battlegroup, which is escorting
a number of merchant and tanker vessels to the ravaged Pakistanis.
The Indians have used their time wisely from the first nuclear tests
until the present. They have purchased a number of Russian planes and ships
to enhance their arsenal. Blinder bombers were known to have been
delivered and the Indians have also increased production on a number of
former Soviet planes that have been licensed to the Sub-Continent.
The bottom line: Get those ships to the newly opened Iranian base just
west of Pakistan. Your group should be on full alert and all sensors
should be hot.
Remember: There is no worry of escalation. This war can't get any worse.
If your convoy is threatened in any way, you have full permission to
defend yourself from (or attack if necessary) any Indian vessel that
attempts to delay the arrival of your cargo.
Be aware of the fact that we have received word that an Indian Carrier
Battle Group has been deployed to close off the Persian Gulf to any
ship flying a US flag. Use all means available to break that
blockade and get to Iran (religious wars make strange bedfellows).
Good Luck, Commander.
